Course overview
This is a trade qualification for plumbers in residential, industrial and commercial workplaces who are responsible for assembling, installing and maintaining water services, sanitary plumbing and sanitary drainage, gas, roofing and mechanical services in both existing and new constructions.
The plumbing industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or closely simulated workplace environment and this qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered and assessed in this context.
Entry requirements
- Minimum age: 18 years at the time of enrolment

- candidates may undertake a relevant bachelor degree (or Post-graduate certificate in business with a university or higher education provider).
Exit point & award
Students that successfully complete all 58 units of competency as stated in the Course Structure will be issued with CPC32420 Certificate III in Plumbing. This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Students that complete some but not all of the units of competency as stated in the Course Structure may be issued with a Statement of Attainment. It will identify only those units of competence that have been completed as part of the qualification and recognised nationally under the AQF.
